Meet The Team

Robyn Casey was born in the Ballarat area of Victoria (Australia) and  moved to Ocean Grove in 1995 where she raised her family as a single  parent. Robyn first went to Malawi in 2002 on a short term mission trip  and fell in love with the people there. She knew that one day she would  return. In November 2004 Robyn left Australia to begin her work in  Malawi. Robyn was moved to begin a nursery school, where children  could be fed and educated. Robyn has been there ever since, working  under the banner of the Mphatso Children's Foundation, faithfully  serving the people and showing the love the of God. Over the years,  Mphatso has expanded rapidly. From feeding 6 children on the first  porridge day, to now feeding over 1500 children daily, it shows no signs  of slowing down.

The Johnstone Family moved to Malawi at the start of 2011. Mark, Lena,  Jack and Bethany became involved with Mphatso after several visits in  previous years. They believed that the time was right for them to move to  Malawi and take up a permanent role with Mphatso, working alongside  Robyn. They plan to serve Mphatso for the next 4 years, and then  reassess, as Jack and Beth will then be then entereing their final years of  schooling. Mark has previously worked as an electrician, before serving in  a variety of ministry roles, including Senior Pastor at 'The Wave' Baptist  Church, in Ocean Grove. Lena is a qualified counsellor and a gifted  teacher, having taught at Tabor Bible College. Their heart is to see  Mphatso continue to grow, while also focusing on the spiritual growth of  Kande Beach.
